Panoramic Front View

All these photos were taken on the 30th May 2009. I would have never know about this temple until one of the catscity member posted it up in the forum. Credits to carjon for the info and direction to the temple. The location of the temple is rather isolated, took at least 40 to 1 hour drive from the city to this location. I went seeking for this temple on a hot sunny afternoon with a friend who helps as a GPS navigator while I drive. NOT familiar with the area there, we spent time driving to alienated small village roads where in reality, its actually pretty easy to find once you found it. Drive to Taman Malihah, just look for Shell petrol station and turn right and go straight up. If you have trouble getting to Taman Malihah, then start from Satok, then drive to Matang, Then drive to Taman Malihah. That should be the easy route.

I seriously had no idea such temple was being built. There weren’t any newspaper article nor any kopitiam friends talk about it. When I got there, I was dumb founded with the massive structure and grand looking ornaments. The place is spacious and some part is still under construction. There is the center main hall with two gong towers on the side of it. and two separate buildings on both side.

They seemed to be levelving the lands next to it. Hopefully its some garden with large pond. It would be nice. Anyway, Its brand new and looking good. I will be going back someday to take night shots if I am free.

As far as I know, this is the largest Tao temple in Kuching.
